Universal Welfare Foundation (U.W.F) is an
state level non government organization and voluntary development organization
is working in the District of Kanichepuram, Nagapattinam and Chennai of Tamilnadu.
A team of service minded people started its social service activities during
1990 and legally registered as a trust in 1994. It is working with the poorest
among the poor in all community based on their problems and felt needs. UWF
have been initiating supporting and strengthening the community groups in
their effects to solve their micro and macro level problems through community
supported actions.
It is an action group in integrated development and convergence of
services for despaired and opporessed community. UWF engaged in social
service activities in the field of women and children has rendered immense
service for the unreached for the upliftment of disadvantaged.
The Promoter of this organization was inspired by the grass-root realities,
exploitation, poverty, and disease prevalent in rural areas. They had decided
to work with masses in bearing the burden of the poor and lifting them
out of the poverty and other evils of the life in the society.
Universal Welfare Foundation activities,actions, reactions ans reflections
has marked progress and expansion of its activities coupled with the successful
participation of the taget people.
